The 2023 running calendar offers many highlights for you that are backed by DYNAFIT as a partner. We would like to introduce select races to you and lend some inspiration for your next challenge. NUTS Ylläs Pallas Trail Run – Finland

Experience Lapland from its most impressive side: Clear air, wild nature, and endless fell countryside make the NUTS Ylläs Pallas Trail Run a very special running experience. With a total of five different courses and the NUTS 300 special event (300K, July 3-7), there is just the right race for every level of runner. The midnight sun is your constant companion and shows you the way across the great north.

 

Dates: July 7-8, 2023

Location: Ylläs-Pallas, FIN

Participants: international recreational and pro runners

Courses: 160K, 100K, 66K, 37K, 15K / NUTS 300K

Grossglockner Ultra-Trail - Austria 

Technically demanding, one-of-a-kind spectacular countryside, and a “must-do” on the international trail circuit: The Grossglockner ULTRA-TRAIL – powered by DYNAFIT (GGUT) is renown as the toughest trail running race in the Eastern Alps. A picturesque backdrop with innumerable glaciers and 3,000ers, GGUT offers a total of six courses for participants to measure themselves against each other.

 

Dates: July 27-30, 2023

Location: Zell am See-Kaprun, AT

Participants: approximately 2,000 recreational and pro runners

Courses: 110K, 84K, 57K, 37K, 16K, 1K & 3.1K (Mini GGUT)

Never Summer 100K & 60K – USA

A mountain race in the truest sense of the words: The Never Summer 100K and 60K race takes place in the heart of the State Forest State Park in Colorado. Nestled between the Rocky Mountains, the Never Summer Mountains, and the Medicine Bow Mountains, this demanding ultra challenge takes participants to wild and at the same time gorgeous surroundings  – including black bears, elk, mountain lakes, and technical mountain peaks.

Participants: Pro and recreational runners

Courses: 100K, 60K

Tromsø Skyrace – Norway

Pure skyrunning above the Polar Circle:  The Tromso Skyrace was created in 2014 by Kilian Jornet and Emilie Forsberg. This challenging and extremely technical race offers everything that ambitious skyrunners wish for: Exposed inclines and steep climbs topped with spectacular views across the most beautiful fjords in Norway.

Location: Tromsø, NOR

Participants: Pro and recreational runners

Courses: 57K, 32K, 18K, 2.7K

Ultra Trail Chic Choc – Canada

An adventure far from the well-trodden trails: The Ultra Trail Chic Choc in the Canadian province of Québec is a paradise for every trail runner. Untouched nature, technical routes, and diverse courses make this competition a special experience. With a total of eight different courses, it has something for every taste and even the  next generation get their money’s worth.

 

Dates: Aug. 19-21, 2023

Location: Gaspésie / Québec, Canada

Participants: Pro and recreational runners

Courses: 113K, 78K, 62K, 45K, 26K, 23K, 10K, 3 & 5.5K (Kids’ races)

L´Échappée Belle – France

„Plus belle, plus dure“ (English: More beautiful, more difficult) – is one of the most spectacular trail running races in the Alpine region. It takes runners through the unique Belledonne massif in France. There are four different courses. What they have in common is the highly technical aspects because runners cover alpine trails over moraines, rock and scree up almost to 3,000 meters.

 

Dates: Aug. 25-27, 2023

Location: Vizille / Aiguebelle, France

Participants: strictly limited field, pro and recreational athletes

Courses: 149K, 84K, 64K, 21K (Skyrace)

Transalpine Run – Austria / Italy / Switzerland

Once in your life to run across the Alps – this is the dream of many mountain athletes. With the legendary Transalpine Run powered by DYNAFIT this can be a reality. Over seven days, participants go from Lech am Arlberg through Switzerland to Prad am Stilfserjoch in South Tyrol. Until now, TAR was just a team competition. This year for the first time solo runners can also take on the challenge.

 

Dates: Sept. 9-15, 2023

Location: Lech am Arlberg, AT

Participants: 200 two-person teams, 200 solo runners, 150 two-person teams for Run2

Courses: 268K and 15,330 vertical meters / 62K and 3.,900 vertical meters (Run2)

The LAP – UK

Run around the largest lake in England: The legendary “The Lap” race takes runners once around Windermere lake in the beautiful Lake District National Park. On very runnable paths, trail runners can really put the pedal to the medal and at the same time can enjoy the idyllic and picturesque lake. The course has approximately 1,600 signs, making it probably the best-marked course in the entire region. Meaning participants don’t have any worries about navigation, no matter how bad the weather can also be.

Participants: Recreational and pro runners, as well as hikers

As a part of the Golden Trail Series, the Marathon Du Mont Blanc attracts the international elite to Chamonix.

Eiger Ultra Trail:  July 12-16, 2023

“Harder than the North Face, solo” – That’s how legendary alpinist Ueli Steck once described the Eiger Ultra Trail. We can most certainly agree. The spectacular race is one of the biggest challenges for every trail runner – rightly so.

UTMB:  Aug. 28 – Sept. 3, 2023

There’s no getting around the legendary UTMB Mont Blanc! This is where the who’s who of trail running meets up at the running event that is second to none. More than 10,000 participants test themselves on eight different courses.
